Each project is a joint effort between the community, the local church, the government, and many other partners. Some partners are international, such as people in the U.S. who donate to cover my living expense while I do this work. Serving in these communities without charging for my time requires financial partners, perhaps like yourself, who want to help provide clean water. I am especially asking for people to consider setting up monthly donations.
The preffered way to donate is through the United Methodist Church, online. To donate, follow the link and select my name from the drop-down list. You can choose to make a one-time or a monthly gift. By donating through the church, 100% of your donation will go directly to my work.
If you prefer not to give through the church, or your employer will match your donation to a non-religious organization, you can give through Engineers In Action, by selecting my name from the dropdown menu. There is a 3% charge when donating this way.
Checks can be made payable to Advance GCFA, write “Lauren Butler 982465” on the memo line, and sent to Advance GCFA, P.O. Box 9068, GPO, New York, NY 10087-9068.
Please let me know if you donate so I can ensure your donation arrives in the correct place. I can be reached at lauren.butler@engineersinaction.org for any questions, suggestions, or just to stay in touch. Another way of supporting is to donate airline miles; feel free to contact me on how to do this.
I am committed to being a good steward these donations, with full accountability, transparency, simple living, and effective work. I invite you to check out my first year’s financial report.
